PROSPECTUS OF USM AND UTM

                                                            
Universiti Sains Malaysia (acronym: USM) is a public university with its main campus in Penang, Malaysia. There are three branch campuses: one in mainland Penang (Engineering Campus), one in Kelantan (Health Campus) on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and a offshore collaboration with a university in India. This offshore five-year M.D. programme is conducted at the Jawaharlul Nehru Medical College(Belgium) KLE University, Belgaum, Bangalore, India offering the MD (USM) or better known as the Doctor of Medicine undergraduate degree. USM plans to open a Kuala Lumpur campus. With around 28,287 (postgraduates and undergraduates) students in 2009, USM is one of the biggest universities in terms of enrollment in Malaysia. The number of Lecturers is about 1,479, which leads to a student-lecturer ratio of around 1:19.








                                                         

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (University of Technology Malaysia) is the oldest public engineering and technological university in Malaysia and is known by the abbreviation UTM. The university specialises in technical studies, with separate faculties for Education Pure Sciences,Management, and Human Resource Department. It is the country's major source of graduate engineers and similar professional.Alumni of UTM have been instrumental in developing sectors related to engineering and technology in Malaysia.
Of its more than 20,000 students, over 25% are postgraduates. Since the 1990s, the number of foreign students, particularly from neighbouring Asian countries, the Middle East, and Africa has been increasing, especially in postgraduate programs.
UTM graduates have gone on to many academic and professional across the world.
